This policy explains what personal data the SHINSEN website collects, why it is collected, and what rights you have over it.

What this website does
This is an informational website about the SHINSEN range of professional skincare. There is no online shop, no user accounts, no payments and no newsletter. The only personal data you actively give us is what you choose to send through the contact form or by email.
The data we collect
Data you send us
If you use the contact form or write to us directly, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, your email address, and the content of your message. If you write on behalf of a clinic or a distributor, that may also include your company name and role.
Usage data and server logs
Like almost every website, ours is hosted on servers that keep technical records of requests. These can include your IP address, the pages requested, the date and time, the response status, and details about your browser and operating system. They are used to keep the site running securely and to diagnose faults.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no analytics service. A cookie may be set only where it is strictly necessary for the site to work — for example by a contact form plugin to guard against spam, or by WordPress itself if you log in to administer the site. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- To answer you. When you contact us we use your details to reply and, where relevant, to discuss a professional or partnership enquiry. The basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us, and the steps taken at your request before entering an agreement.
- To keep the site secure and working. Server logs and strictly necessary cookies rest on our legitimate interest in operating the site safely.
- To meet legal obligations. Where the law requires us to keep or disclose records, the basis is compliance with that obligation.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.
Who else may see it
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the site and our correspondence, and only to the extent they need it:
- our web hosting provider;
- our email provider;
- the provider of the contact form, if one is in use.
These providers act on our instructions as data processors. We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend legal claims. Beyond that, we share it with no one. A current list of our providers is available on request.
Where your data is processed
Your data is processed at our offices and at the premises of the providers above. Some of them may process data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the law provides for such transfers, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for details.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and to maintain a record of our correspondence, and are then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host for security and diagnostics. Where the law sets a longer retention period, we follow it. Once a retention period ends the data is deleted, and rights of access, correction, erasure and portability can no longer be exercised over it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right, to the extent the law allows, to:
- ask whether we hold data about you and obtain a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict how we process it;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent, where we relied on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email us at info@sentakugroup.com. It is free of charge and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk. If you are in the European Economic Area you may instead complain to the data protection authority of your own country.
Children
This website is aimed at skincare professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. Any change is published on this page, so please check it from time to time. Where a change affects processing we carry out on the basis of your consent, we will ask for your consent again.
